Who Killed the Electric Car?
We are addicted to oil but who keeps us that way... the car manufacturer's or the oil companies or both? This is 2007, we should be zipping around in electric hover crafts and wearing silver jumpsuits, not driving cars based on the same antiquated technology prevalent at the time when films were black and white and had no sound. Our cars technology in 2007 is embarrassing and pathetic. We have landed people on the moon and we still drive around in vehicles that have internal combustion engines.
These engines are why there is a war in Iraq, why the world's glaciers are melting and water levels are rising, yet we plug on with less insight than chicken little, at least he was aware that the sky is falling.
